The AVR has given its help in the field of HTGR development to several projects. The know-how gained over the years by EWN GmbH and its subsidiaries in dismantling nuclear plants has been used on other projects at home and abroad.
At present, the AVR is participating in the following projects
- RAPHAEL (maintaining European expertise and further development of HTR)
and indirectly through the Jülich Research Centre
- with the PBMR (Pebble Bed Modular Reactor) in South Africa
- Cooperation in HTR development with PR China and South Korea (initial contacts)
