International Projects

The dismantling of the Greifswald Nuclear Power Plant has been the biggest nuclear decommissioning project of the world since 1995. The extensive knowledge that EWN Ltd. gained during more than 15 years of dismantling of the facilities at this site and at Rheinsberg and by activities in its subsidiaries is also in demand in many other decommissioning projects at home and abroad. Thus, the company is also active at several sites in Europe.

For example, EWN Ltd. works together with experts from the Russian Federation on the safe disposal of nuclear submarines of their Northern Fleet and it supports in the frame of EU funded projects different other nuclear power plants in decommissioning. In these projects EWN uses its extensive know-how in this field, for example the experiences in decommissioning planning, project management, radiological characterisation, radioactive waste management, radiation protection as well as in licensing procedures and environmental impact assessments.
