The Energiewerke Nord GmbH (EWN), the legal successor of the former Kombinat Kernkraftwerke "Bruno Leuschner", is decommissioning and dismantling the nuclear power plants in Greifswald (KGR), in the Land of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and in Rheinsberg (KKR), in the Land of Brandenburg.
The Trust Company was appointed as shareholder in 1990. In 1995 the "Beteiligungs-Management-GmbH Berlin" took on this function.
Since January 1, 2000 the Federal Ministry of Finance is the only shareholder of the whole company.
The processes of decommissioning and dismantling of the Rheinsberg Nuclear Power Plant are in progress since 1995.
