Discover the inside of a nuclear power plant unit together with our knowledgeable staff on one of our tours.
Unit 6 of the former Greifswald Nuclear Power Plant had almost been completed in 1990 as it was decided to decommission the entire plant. It never contained nuclear fuel and offers a unique opportunity to view a Russian design nuclear power plant.
After an introductory talk, you will receive information on the tour about various power plant components including the reactor with its associated pumps, the steam generator, the pressuriser and much more. We also explain how we dismantle a nuclear power plant unit.
By means of models and original parts, our information centre gives additional information on topics such as nuclear energy, dismantling, final storage and radiation protection.
